A week ago my hubby and I went to a extremely unique wedding ceremony. A friend of ours had a lovely western themed wedding ceremony at his parents house. They had thier wedding reception in a beautiful little church close to where his parents lived. Both the formal procedure as well as the bride were beautiful. All of the guests rode in in carriages drawn by horses to get to the reception from the house of worship. They decorated the full reception in country southern fashion. On every table was a checked tablecloths of red and white with a homemade showpiece. The arrangements were exclusively old-tyme watering cans stuffed with wild flowers and at each place setting was little cowboy hats they used as place card holders. They did a fantastic decorating job for this gala. They had miniature lights strung everywhere and piled round the reception space were bales of hay. They honored us with a very fine Wedding Favor to every person. There were a lot of uniquely designed shot glasses that had been given out as gifts. There were glass favors that were perfectly clear and a few with beautiful colors and designs. The wedding favor shot glasses that was also a pretty candle holder was superbly lovely. My wedding favor shot glass had pretty ribbons imprinted on it. It flared at the top of the glass and was good for a little votive candle. I was stunned to work out all the different designs for novelty shot glasses. I’ve solely noticed the simple little shot glasses for cocktail shots. There are so many styles and uses for them and I assume that is what makes them really great thank you presents.

The marriage ceremony and celebration were both really unique. They didn’t overlook a thing when designing this wedding and shin-dig. Each of us had quite a marvelous time. The best new wedding favors I’ve seen in a while!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I look back at my wedding day and see the difference in how things have changed in decorations and how great they look. It’s amazing what is out there and the variety you can choose from. There were plenty of suggestions for beach weddings that I thought were very nice with little seashells, starfish and other oceanside designs. Just researching you could find great ideas for a summer or spring wedding. I saw gorgeous new wedding collections for all seasons. There are winter season decorations and all their accessories with the glitter and gold that will definitely be a beautiful addition to your themed decor. Did you know that some couples actually have a winter wedding outside? That sounds beautiful, but it seems just a little too modern, and too cold for my taste. If I were planning a wedding it would have to be indoors and not outside in the cold. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.

There were also quite a bit to choose from for autumn weddings too, which is really my favorite time of the year. Autumn is the best season for me and the best time to have a wedding, with it’s colorful background as your main motif. My wedding day was so long ago that the choices we had were being married in the church or running away and getting married. Now there are so many different types of weddings you can really have your ceremony exactly the way you want to. I’ve heard of weddings where the location is out of state or even the country and all the friends and famliy fly to that location to have the wedding ceremony. It’s like having a family elopement. You can find a new favor for all your wedding planning from a customary wedding to an out of town wedding

In a few months my daughter will be married and I offered to help her plan her wedding and she decided to have a country western wedding. At first I thought that idea was just a little out there, but the more we got into the actual planning, the more I liked it. She ordered all the decorations in a western style decor. They had a style of there own. She’s set up a country band, barbecue grills and hay bales that will be part of the party decor. She plans to string lights and lanterns everywhere outside for her big country reception party. She order western place card holders and watercans for the centerpieces and put flowers in them. They’ve arranged to rent a dude ranch for this event, which really surprised me, because, I didn’t know you could even do that. She ordered quite a few wedding accessories online that will go perfectly with the country western theme. She bought bride and groom cowboy hats there for her and her fiance and the cutest little new wedding favors for each of their guests.

She has everything all planned out to be more of a huge family cookout, hayride, picnic type of reception. Which when I think of it, sounds like a pretty good time for all. Would you believe there’s even going to be an old fashioned barn dance too? After hearing all this I knew I had to go to the store and get blue jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat so that I could join in the fun and excitement. This is going to be a wedding to remember and will be talked about for years to come. Thanks to my daughters great country themed wedding, she’s given me a great idea for our anniversary.

The best new wedding favors I’ve seen in a while!

I look back at my wedding day and see the difference in how things have changed in decorations and how great they look. It’s amazing what is out there and the variety you can choose from. There were plenty of suggestions for beach weddings that I thought were very nice with little seashells, starfish and other oceanside designs. There were also some pretty clever ideas for garden and other summer and spring weddings and receptions. I saw gorgeous new wedding collections for all seasons. I know the winter wonderland wedding supplies were absolutely exquisite with that gorgeous sparkle of the winter season. Did you know that some couples actually have a winter wedding outside? To me having a wedding in the winter outside would be a beautiful site to see and yet a little way out of the norm. I think I would be just fine with an indoor winter wedding and reception. The best place for a winter wedding would be in a setting with a warm cozy fire and warm atmosphere.

Autumn is a beautiful time of the year and my favorite, and it would be a great time to have a wedding. An autumn wedding would be so beautiful because of the beautiful scenery with the colors changing and awesome fall scents in the air. When I was married many years ago the only options you had was a church wedding or a county building to get married. Now there are so many different types of weddings you can really have your ceremony exactly the way you want to. I’ve heard of weddings where the location is out of state or even the country and all the friends and famliy fly to that location to have the wedding ceremony. It’s like having a family elopement. You can find a new wedding favor for all your wedding planning from a customary wedding to an out of town wedding

Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. At first I thought that idea was just a little out there, but the more we got into the actual planning, the more I liked it. She ordered all the decorations in a western style decor. They looked stylished and fashionable. She’s set up a country band, barbecue grills and hay bales that will be part of the party decor. There will be lights and lanterns strung throughout the reception, giving it that western look. Also she purchased centerpieces and name card holders that are western style. It amazed me when I found out that they were having the wedding at a ranch because I never heard of renting one for a special occasion before. She ordered quite a few wedding accessories online that will go perfectly with the country western theme. She also purchased cowboy hats for herself and her groom and the most adorable new weddings for her guests.

She has everything all planned out to be more of a huge family cookout, hayride, picnic type of reception. It sounds like it will be a fantastic time for all the guests. Would you believe there’s even going to be an old fashioned barn dance too? So, I’ve decided to get on the band wagon and go shopping for a pair of cowboy boots, hat and blue jeans and get ready to celebrate this wedding the country way. This wedding is going to be the wedding of the year and probably won’t be forgotten for a long time. Thanks to my daughters great country themed wedding, she’s given me a great idea for our anniversary.

When you’re looking for a wedding favor…

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I debated a long time before deciding on what type of wedding ceremony and reception I wanted to have. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a beach wedding, a garden wedding or a country western wedding. But I also considered having a traditional wedding. Destination weddings also sounds like a great idea. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? I would probably go for the Hawaii destination. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
There were other ideas too, like a gorgeous winter theme ceremony. But since we were getting married in the summer months, I didn’t think I should go with a snow scene. So I decided to go with every young girls dream of marrying a prince, and chose to have a storybook wedding, just like in the fairy tales I read as a child. There were so many accessories and reception supplies to help with my fantasty wedding. I also found a place to get the perfect fairy tale wedding cake for a gorgeous royal wedding. So this was final. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Then I started choosing my wedding and reception accessories and supplies. I bought the most beautiful wedding gown I could find at the bridal shop and had my bridesmaids and little flower girl in exquisite floor length dresses, all with tiaras. My handsome fiance and all of his wedding party looked so elegant in their tuxes, even the little ring boy looked like royalty. As I made my way down the aisle to my handsome prince Charming I felt like I was living a dream. Everything about our ceremony was exquisite. All of the gorgeous décor only added to the beauty of our ceremony. After the ceremony everyone started shouting and throwing red and white rose petals our way. We were driven to the reception in a horse drawn carriage, just like royalty.
A real castle wouldn’t haved looked as good as our reception hall with all of the fantastic accessories and decorations. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I had every wedding reception favor done up in storybook themed favor boxes. There were so many accessories to choose from to help with our storybook reception. They had storybook champagne flutes and little coaches for place card holders. They had everything imaginable for a storybook wedding and reception.
Our guests all had a wonderful time and were very impressed with all the lovely storybook décor. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I think I made the right choice when I chose this theme, and I’m glad I could find so many great accessories to help. I wanted this to be special for our friends and family too, the way it was for us. Everything from our wedding cake topper to the wedding favor ideas for our friends and family went with our storybook theme. I wanted our guests to leave with something that would remind them of this special day. Something that could hold the memory of today for them as well as for us.
As soon as we returned from our honeymoon, I got started on all the thank you notes I needed to mail out. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.

When you’re looking for a wedding party favor…

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a beach wedding, a garden wedding or a country western wedding. But on the other hand there is a lot to be said for tradition. I also thought about a fantastic destination wedding. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? I would probably go for the Hawaii destination. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
But there were a lot of other ideas to work with, including a winter wonderland wedding. But a wedding in July just didn’t seem like the right time to do a winter theme. I wanted a wedding fit for a king and queen, and what better way to do that then with a storybook wedding. There were so many accessories and reception supplies to help with my fantasty wedding. The bakery even had wedding cakes that worked out with my idea. So I finally made up my mind. We can declare a royal wedding.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Then I started choosing my wedding and reception accessories and supplies. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. The groom (my prince) and all of the groomsmen and ring boy wore tuxes that made them all look so elegant and sophisticated. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. The accessories I bought added so much glamour and style to our storybook wedding. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. Instead of a limo, we had a horse drawn carriage waiting outside.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed unique wedding favor in for our guests. I was amazed at all of the themed accessories there were for our fairy tale reception. They had storybook champagne flutes and little coaches for place card holders. They just have everything I could possibly need for the perfect fairy tale wedding and reception.
Our guests all had a wonderful time and were very impressed with all the lovely storybook décor. One of our guests stated that she’d never seen such a gorgeous ceremony as ours. If I do say so myself, it was quite spectacular. A fairy tale wedding was a great idea, and it really helped to be able to have such fantastic accessories to choose from. Since this was a special day in my life, I wanted everything to be special. Everything from our wedding cake topper to the wedding gifts for our friends and family went with our storybook theme. I wanted to give our guests more than just favors, that’s why I chose gifts that could also be used as souvenirs. Something that could hold the memory of today for them as well as for us.
After the honeymoon was over, there was the job of filling out thank you notes for all of our guests. Would you believe I even found fairytale thank you notes for everyone? I wouldn’t mind having a fairytale anniversary renewal ceremony.

Do your research before choosing wedding favor ideas!

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I checked on three different themes, beach, garden and country western. Then I thought maybe I should just stick with the traditional type of ceremony and reception. Then I found out about destination weddings and that one got me thinking. A destination wedding in Vegas or maybe the gorgeous oceanside in Hawaii sounded awesome. I would love a tropical island wedding. I soon put that idea to rest, there are too many people on our guestlist for a wedding like that.
But there were a lot of other ideas to work with, including a winter wonderland wedding. But since we were getting married in the summer months, I didn’t think I should go with a snow scene. I wanted a wedding fit for a king and queen, and what better way to do that then with a storybook wedding. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. The bakery even had wedding cakes that worked out with my idea. So I finally made up my mind. Cinderella and Prince Charming were getting married.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Next I started checking out all the wedding accessories and reception supplies I would need. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. My handsome fiance and all of his wedding party looked so elegant in their tuxes, even the little ring boy looked like royalty. I could feel all eyes on me as I walked down the aisle, and half way expected them to bow to their new queen. Everything about our ceremony was exquisite. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. Instead of a limo, we had a horse drawn carriage waiting outside.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I had no problem when it came to the decorations or the wonderful wedding favors I had for our guests. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed wedding reception favor in for our guests. There were so many accessories to choose from to help with our storybook reception. They had storybook champagne flutes and little coaches for place card holders. I couldn’t have pulled this off without the wonderful accessories they have for fairytale weddings.
Everyone had a fabulous time and I received a lot of compliments on the décor. One of our guests stated that she’d never seen such a gorgeous ceremony as ours. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. I wanted this to be special for our friends and family too, the way it was for us. I made sure their wedding party favors were of a storybook theme, just like our wedding cake and other accessories. I wanted to give our guests more than just favors, that’s why I chose gifts that could also be used as souvenirs. I wanted to give them something they would look back on with fond memories.
After the honeymoon was over, there was the job of filling out thank you notes for all of our guests. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. I wonder if we could do this again for our anniversary?
